Yesterday I explored the art installation Invictus which is the work of Storm Septimus. It is based on the poem of the same name by the English poet William Ernest Henley. I mentioned a while ago that I wanted to do some more photography with the peony headdress and the two lots of Analog Dog hair that I used in my Peony Dreams post and the throne near the beginning of the installation gave me the inspiration for this picture of a Queen by the empty throne as she waits for her King to return from battle, or perhaps more aptly for the poem, his journey of self-discovery and challenge.
