I have a love and hate relationship with Second Life gachas. Anything I really want I would rather buy outright and get exactly what I want rather than taking a gamble and end up with something I don’t really like or have no use for. However, I do play them occasionally when it’s something I want and I don’t mind which one I come out with. Sometimes from a photography point of view spinning the gacha wheel as it were is actually a great way to trigger some creative inspiration. Having for example the colour of something or the style of hat decided for you can act as something of an artistic catalyst.

Colour Me In
FashionOne of my favourite places to browse is Cosmopolitan Events, the bi-weekly fashion Event showcasing some fantastic new products from Second Life designers. In addition, every Tuesday they also have their Hello Tuesday one day sales where you can pick up great bargains for one day only.
Dancing In Eden
Art, Fashion, LifestyleOne of our favourite places to dance the night away recently is the new to grid club Breck’s which had it’s grand opening on 20th August 2016. The club is the dreamchild of well-known Second Life DJ BreckQuinn and she and her associate owners have created a beautifully designed Club with a selection of excellent DJ’s offering a mix of The Blues, Jazz, Romance and Rock at both casual and formal sets.

Jet City Woman
Perhaps slightly unusually, I play Second Life with my real life husband and we are monogomously partnered in the game as well as married in real life.
Cherry Blossom
FashionOne of the great pleasures of Second Life to me is dressing my avatar which really allows me to bring out my love of fashion which has been something I have been interested in since childhood. One of the interesting off-shoots of this though is not only it resparked my creativity in taking photographs – which I used to do to a high standard in real life – but it has enabled me to find some interesting places for my avatar to model that I may have not found otherwise.
